Tc4400 docsis 3.12/2/2023 ![]() ![]() I'd expect cable modem and wired network power consumption doesn't really go up much with traffic on this type of equipment, but it would be nice to have hard details.ĮDIT: I just had a chance to test power consumption of one of the Rogers Technicolor CGM4141 modems. Wireless traffic definitely adds to the power draw of a router, by as much as 50% I think. Note: The vast majority of power measurements in all of the links have modems and routers handling no network traffic. ![]() But, 8.5W in that size case probably isn't a huge problem. ya, it probably runs a bit hot! Looking at the progression of power consumption from the DCM425 (~4W) -> DCM476 (~6.5W) -> TC4350 (~7.5W) -> TC4400 (~8.5W) is a bit eye opening. And here I spent a little while looking into power draw of various modems and etc. I have an unsubscribed TC4400 v3 here, and it draws 8.4W with no traffic. ![]()
